What's up with high defintion videos?

I visited a forum today and much to my surprise a recent thread was dealing with shooting adult sex movies using high definition hardware. Much of the thread was dealing with the fact that we are years away of finding any of this otuput commercially. Below are some of the statements made:

" HDV cams are out now but I doubt most content will not be shot on them for at least another year or 2. I have one and shooting everything on HDV and then downconverting to DV before I edit. The reason to shoot higher definition at this point is to be ready for the time when consumers will have the TVs to appreciate it. By that time,they won't get enough of hdhardcore videos, guaranteed. I also do everything in widescreen but still frame so it looks ok if I do a 4:3 center cut. This is how many TV shows are framed."

Although this might be true in part, my feeling is that times are shorter. I am personally on a mission hunting down any higher quality video out there... I know, not yet there but proof is in the pudding:

Hiya! my first post...

This is an important date. I searched the net for days and could not find any information on high defintion videos. Specifically, I wanted to learn more if technological advances have made possible for amateurs to shoot high quality scenes that could then be edited and shared online. I am speaking of high defintion porn videos. That's right. It ocurred to me that life would be much more interesting if we could only enjoy crystal clear scenes where we could see different shades of pink. Oh my!
